Back from Antarctica

Just got back from Antarctica and South America. Incredible beyond words (I wont even try). A few photos for now…

aaaannd…… I’m off to play with penguins. Right now, I’m sitting in JFK waiting to board my plane.

Here’s the plan:

San Salvador layover tomorrow. Just enough time to grab a quick bite in town.

Buenos Aires, until Jan 31.
Taking a boat to Antartica, by way of Falkan Island and Cape Horn.
Getting to Montevideo on the 13th of Feb. Then the motorcycle adenture starts!

Nina and I are renting motorcycles in Uruguay and heading East until we hit Brazil
14th Punta del Este
15-16 Carneval en La Pedrera
17-18 Cabo Polonio
19-21 Punta del Diablo, and Chui, Brasil
22-23 Head back west towards Jose Ignacio/ Punta del Este
24 Back in Montevideo for two more days. Then head home, but not before spending a night in Lima!

I burnt up all of my firewood staying warm. Hard to find more around the jersey shore, and apparently moving firewood isbad. Now I’m all out..

The creek by my house iced over. This is also my first attempt serious attempt with photomatix/blending bracketed photos (i only had a two stop soft grad on me, which clearly was not enough!)
